Organizing help for Seniors
We know that getting older isn’t for the weak! JMPO provides physical support and we do it with care and compassion. Our senior clients often don't have local family support available and this is where we shine. JMPO helps with managing papers, clearing floors to eliminate fall hazards, and rearranging spaces to get the most important things in the easiest-to-access places. We adjust the pace to meet the needs of our clients. You may have deadlines to meet and work quickly - we can do this with you. Others may need a more moderate pace, taking breaks between working sessions. Your needs and your pace are our guide. When our senior clients need to reduce their collections or personal items, we have a number of ways to help. We have many resources to find new homes for furniture, household items and clothing. Organizing and clearing out a home for sale can be incredibly daunting. No matter how you got here, whether by choice or difficult circumstances, JMPO works sensitively with our clients. Organizing help for a remodel
When you are ready to remodel your home, it’s a great time to declutter the things you don’t want and prepare to make your “new” home look its best. If you are moving out during construction, JMPO can pack you up, coordinate moving things into short term storage and get your essentials set up in your temporary home. Your belongings are carefully stored and labeled, and when you are finished we can move everything back in for you too. You don’t have to navigate this transition alone! We offer short and longer term arrangements, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. One person may need a thorough consultation and plan of action with no hands-on help. Organizing help for Hoarding situations
JMPO understands that stuff is just the surface of anyone's life. Hoarding is a widely misunderstood though fairly common behavior. As an untreated condition, hoarding can have severe health, social and safety impacts. Cleaning out a hoard should only begin with appropriate professional assistance. Successful intervention begins with recognition and insight into the individual's behavior, and depends on a variety of factors including financial means, understanding of the psychology of the condition, and the individual’s history. We work with severely hoarded homes, including pest contamination and squalor. The clients may or may not be living in the home at the time. Sharon, she was the icing on the cake. That woman knows her business! At the onset of meeting her she was already posting items to sell. I never had to be present, she was in total command in selling the contents of the house and yard. She even sold F's minivan for us, getting more than we had expected. Everyone was so nice and knew their business. We were in very competent hands. In my own Estate binder I have listed these contacts for my sons when the time comes. It was a pleasure to work with such professional individuals.
